I hope so! It's so much fun, and so much less expensive that way too. We haven't been able to do the bike thing for a long time, since Woolworth's went under, but it's amazing how many places that don't ordinarily sell toys (like grocery stores and drug stores) mark perfectly nice toys WAY down after Christmas.
Oh, we have another rule I forgot to mention. We don't buy anything that requires batteries or such that will cost the parents money later.
I do the same on a smaller scale, for a local women's and children's center that my prior employer does a drive for. I save things up all year for that gift drive and then have lots of great stuff to put under their tree.
Well, "none" is an exaggeration. 3 small closets for an 1800 square foot house, no attic, no basement. I manage by not keeping anything that doesn't get used regularly. That way the piles get moved frequently enough that dust doesn't settle on them. :)

My job does a chili/base sale/gift basket raffle for the local food pantry. It's the one time people pay to eat my cooking. ;)
