Santa Strikes Again

I really love our scheme of buying on-sale toys year-round and saving them for Toys for Tots. Today's find: Grocery store w/shopping cart full of stuffed toy dogs, dirt cheap. We just pushed the whole cart to the checkout + bought 'em all. ;)

I've always wanted to do something like that.

I love it! I do something similar, although on a smaller scale. I already have a number of small toys (including a gorgeous grocery store teddy bear) and stocking stuffers to give to our local women's/children's shelter next Christmas. My library-employer-before-this-one does a gift drive every year for that shelter, and since my current library employer does not do one, I just go back to my old place of employment to make my contribution every year.

Ah, *that's* what I should do. I did not get involved in the VA's toy drive this year for obvious reasons. But next year....
