My father used to have a "pet" huntsman (cane spider) in Hawaii.

We let them hang around if they are in the kitchen or study because they eat the less-benign bugs and spiders. But in the bedrooms... oh no.
And they're even worse in the car - the only time I saw a certain big husky man scream and scramble was when he got in the car, flipped down the sun visor and had an unhappy huntsman land in his lap.
Those things can squeeze through very small spaces and they don't like the rain (of which we have recently had plenty)

I have no words, but the face I'm making is pretty horrified. I haaaate spiders. HATE. HAAAAAAAATE HAAAAAAAAAAATE HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATE.

That all said, I know a woman who had a skunk get into her house. I don't know if that's better or worse than a ginormous spider.

Yikes. I am so glad I live on a continent and in a region where there aren't very many dangerous arachnids.
