Florida is a place that sucks; it is not sucking now so shut up.

Glancing up at the news while at the gym this morning, I realized that it was Groundhog Day. Groundhog Day has to be one of the stupidest holidays to ever make it on the calendar. Just sayin'. On that note, however, I have a rant ( Read more... )

Agreeing with you whole heartedly about winter versus summer. I've got a friend who does nothing but bitch about how cold it is here (it rarely ever reaches freezing temperatures here) for the two months of winter weather we get here on the island. I'm in a thin fleece pullover and she's in triple layers and a scarf that hides her entire face. wtf?! Also, yes, not looking forward to that early spring heat where just going out for the mail means yet another shower and a change of clothes.

PS: your Tamaki icon is ftw. <3

WORD.

Winter is my favorite season, even in the NE when I had to spend two hours digging my car out from multiple feet of snow. It was hard work, but at the same time? I enjoy digging in the snow. It's SNOW. :D I miss my snow so much now.

Also my parents just moved to Florida and I'm sure my mother agrees with you wholeheartedly. I think 60s are about ideal for her, but she'll take 40-70s anytime. Once it gets to 80 she just sits indoors in front of her computer and refuses to go out. *lol*

Great googly moogly, I miss Florida winter like you cannot believe! It's sort of like Alaska summer. :P

I really miss it this year because for awhile the snow piles between my driveway and my neighbors' (four-unit building, our driveways are less than two feet apart) were fucking taller than I am! All I wanted was to never see snow again for the rest of my life and damn if they didn't send us to New York. And what's worse, two of my best friends are Aussies who want nothing more than to get residency (ideally citizenship but they'll both take what they can get) and live in New York. Specifically NYC, and I'd probably be less miserable in that area, but still I feel bad about hating it here when all they want is to be within six hours of where I feel trappedAnd people think I'm nuts when, at this point, I even miss the humidity in the summer. I'm homesick for the days when I'd walk outside and be temporarily unable to see as my glasses fogged up because the air conditioning indoors had cooled them. *stops the rant before it's too big ( ... )
