If you go here, and unselect "Enable graphic previews on external links within your journal", that should sort the Snap problem out. It drove me crazy for a while too. Bastards.

Huh, it was actually already unselected. I still see them on other people's LJs when I'm logged in though. I was kinda hoping it would disable them elsewhere as well as long as I was logged in. Curses!
