I have to say, it's really hard to write a hard-boiled cop who's been wrongfully imprisoned without using profanity. It's two grown women, a preverbal infant, and sometimes a guard or two, but it still just feels weird to have swearing in a fic for this show, so I've been avoiding it as hard as I can.

Lin does seem to enjoy swearing. I just let her go for it. It seems fairly natural in her case. And Tenzin secretly thinks it's hot.

Okay. 'Equalist piss-ants' and 'It's shit, right? It's shit' it is. (I just needed validation, it really is more natural to write her that way.) Of course he does.

The title is going to be a line from one of a few eighties art-rock songs, I just need to decide which one. Either Kate Bush or Peter Gabriel.

ETA: Incidentally, I also made a point of including a reference to Lin, in fact, having wanted children.
