So, a couple of days ago I watched the first episode (the only one out yet) of Puella Magi Madoka Magica. It's a magical girl show with cutesy character designs that I was only watching because it's Kajiura Yuki's first full soundtrack in about two years.

Then I realised something.

Oh wow! This looks really spectacular :D How long is it so far, how many episodes? Also, do you think there's a subtitled version? I can't understand Japanese :(

It's a really new show. There's only been one episode so far. You can watch it with subtitles here (though, WARNING: This has the same director as SZS and the same writer as Saya no Uta. It's relatively tame so far, but there's sure to be brain-breaking horror later on. If you're able to deal with Peake or Lovecraft you should be able to deal with what this inevitably is going to turn into, but I'd tread carefully).

Also there's about half a minute's worth of advertising; sorry, but it's the only sub I could find!

Uh wow, that was... something else. UNEXPECTED SHOW TO WATCH. Now if only the fansubbers would release it in sizes us peons with real world budgets and crappy old laptops could watch without choking on it.

Also, how did a show with a Kajiura soundtrack sneak by me?
