Notes: A Christmas present for chibirachy . This isn’t something that she probably would have written but it’s a more personal interpretation-for me-of her favourite pairing and I wrote it with her very much in mind.

Thanks for the gift :) Very thoughtful of you to write a fic for me for Christmas. It was nice... at least, the little I understood of it. I'm sorry, but I'm afraid that you write at such a high level and are so focused on what you want to say that you lose your readers and your characters in your words...it makes for very difficult reading. ^_^"

I know, I know, I'm sorry. But that's why I like to write original stuff; I can make my characters genius Anglican theologians and people who have spent their lives in a tower reading Unamuno and it makes a little more sense. XD

So it took me two readings to actually understand, but it was worth it (even if I now realize my tragic lack of culture, I think I only recognize two references here).

I think it's a great way of expressing the fact of being everywhere and everytime like those two are. It makes things a bit difficult to understand, but well, their situation is too.

Random note 1 : this ("I think I just remembered someone beloved") is truly beautiful. Also the part about the birds who cannot fly.

Random note 2 : it's the first time I think about Onashia as the Lady of the Lake, I'm ashamed.

The way you went about representing their situation, the blending of memes from so many different cultures (seriously, you brought in the bells! ilu!), and then the idea of Onashia as the Lady of the Lake - I just want to read this story over and over again and look up all the references I didn't get and-

'The Bells of London Town' is my favourite nursery rhyme, and there's a lot of other slightly self-indulgent stuff in the different cultural references; I'm glad other people are appreciating it, really.
