Random man asks Mary to go to a cafe with him. She says no because it's late. He asks her to practise Japanese with him (despite the fact that she is a native speaker). She says no. He asks her if he can come to her school and eat lunch with her the next day. She yells at him, hits him, and walks away.

This is what our textbook is teaching us to be able to say.
