A declaration.
The televisual programme Torchwood chronicles the life story invented by scam artist Jack Harkness, a Baron Münchhausen-like figure whose true activities from 200100 to late 2008, and from late 2008 to late 2009, are in reality completely unknown and subject to a massive government cover-up. It's possible that Jack came up with some kind of secret organisation named after the folded Torchwood Insititute during this time. In any case, his 'team' (excepting Toshiko Sato, a top operative in UNIT and slated for the post of British Cultural Attaché to the Empire of Japan once the incumbent retires) and their adventures are in reality nothing but an admittedly quite impressive web of lies--a living testament to Jack's creative genius!
It are fact. I know because of my learnings. And if I ever write for the show this will become hinted-at canon. Yes.
