To-day my friends and I were discussing our mother tongue's lack of suitable words for the expulsion of waste. There are 'piss' and 'shit,' good Anglo-Saxon words that are easy to say and remember, but they're considered 'bad' for some reason. Then there are 'urinate' and 'defecate' which are far too long, jarringly Latinate, and unknown to most
