I'm looking for a safe, clean piercing studio to do a nipple piercing. I'm overwhelmed with recommendations from friends about piercers and studios, but none of them have had this specific piercing done -- how much would I be looking at paying for both the piercing and the jewelery? Any personal recommendations?
Thank-you in advance,
T.

Don't be afraid to ask questions about aseptic technique. They should walk you through it. They should both scrub their hands/arms AND use gloves, needles should be single use and you should see them unopened in their sterile packaging before they're used. Forceps and clamps can be reused, but again they should be sterilised and they should have no problems with you saying "Can I see the instruments in unopened autoclave packages before you set them out?"
Just about everyone will tell you the same thing: go to The Piercing Urge in South yarra/Prahran. Google them--their prices are on their website. They're also really good with the aftercare and seeing you for follow up appointments if you have trouble.
Hope that helped.

the piercing is relatively straight forward. I found it to be less painful than getting my nose or trachus piercings. And less awkward than getting a tongue piercing. There's only a quick flash of pain and then its over.
Through the healing process its not painful to heal like other piercings, and requires minimal care. I mostly just cleaned it during my morning shower.
