Advising yesterday went well, even though the power was out on campus before I arrived, so systems were still down until almost 3p. Didn't wind up having lunch with allandaros because the bus was late, and then the two of us missed the bus off campus, and so had to wait around until 4:20 for the next one. I have three new pairs of jeans. This is cause for celebration. I've been looking for jeans for two years. I have this Platonic Ideal when it comes to jeans: thick denim, black, not too low rise, fitted/tight in the thigh, flared or belled from the knee, longer than ankle length. Bat mitzvah was fun, as these things usually are. Bat mitzvah girl not a singer, but she did alright anyway. Party was loads of fun.
