I've seen some pavilions painted that have such a thick coat of paint that it looks awful. Yours doesn't have that problem. Are you just using an acrylic paint fresh out of the bottle/can?

The blue is an exterior latex thinned 1:1 with water, as recommended by Terafan Greydragon and valkyr8, and the red is an acrylic craft paint also thinned 1:1 with water. The paint is then able to seep into the cloth. I haven't had any problem with flaking or cracking paint nor have I had any leaks along the paint lines (or anywhere else but the grommets).

Terafan has created/painted enough pavillions that he would definitely know the best way to decorate them :-)

I was wondering that too. I haven't painted any pavilions so was curious about how newer ones reacted to the "Terafan technique". Glad to hear it's good. I'm going to enjoy seeing the new decorations in a few weeks. :)

ACTUAL SIZE. Well, okay, the thumbnail on this page is just about actual size.

I discovered a streak of blue in his tail this morning.
