Old black water, keep on rollin'

As promised, I took a bike out for a ride. Only one ride, unfortunately, as the urge to nap after work on Friday overwhelmed me. But, Beatrix the loop frame made a triumphant return to the streets of Sterling sporting her new Basil double pannier. Since she's so heavy (45 pounds of pretty blue steel plus the added weight of accessories), I thought ( Read more... )

I would do very well in a trinapathon. Three naps, in three different locations, in three hours! GO!

You can do it! Also consider a side-stroke, I see lots of folks doing that as they swim laps. It's not an "official" stroke, but it helps for folks who struggle with breathing patterns & want to work on distance.

I'll have to look into that, plus learn how to breathe on both sides. I currently only breathe on the right side every cycle. Scott breathes every 1.5 cycles and changes the breath side.

I admit I'm even more impressed with Zoe's swimming exploits! Honestly, I don't remember swimming being this hard.

I can't breathe on both sides, it confuses me. *grin* I probably just need more practice. Zoe's coach has them breathe every 5th stroke. Breathing seems to be the perpetual annoyance in swim - darn those kids could swim faster if it weren't for all that needing air nonsense! :)

Swimming is an incredibly physical workout. Playing in the water is fun. Laps? Hard work.
