Same old, same old

Biking: Hubbyfink and I hit the trail Sunday afternoon and wound up riding to Kerry & Jill's house in Reston. The east-bound trip was pretty easy with bright sunshine, temps in the mid-50s F, and a light tailwind. The west-bound trip home was a slog with a 23mph headwind. Oof. I've got Helm's Deep set up waiting for me to take pictures of it. I should get on that to clear the table. :)

I'm vacillating between using my mad money to buy more Hobbit/LoTR sets or hunkering down to getting a small copier/printer for my herald's job when we do event consulting. We have one herald who brings one to various events and I have this dragging feeling of guilt that I should be able to do that too. But, but - Legos!

Congratulations on your cycling. Just think of how you would have felt five years ago, if someone had glimsped into the future and told you that the two of you would be doing that so 'off the cuff'! Few folks take on a roundtrip ride like that just to visit friends. You've come so far in your body-buildup that it is amazing.

I was surprised by how BIG Helm's Deep is! It's actually serving as protection against the cats on the dining room table. :)

Thanks for the compliment on the cycling. I've put on a lot of weight over the past year and it's making cycling more difficult, but I love it so much that I'm using the extra weight as more resistance. :)
