Having lived there most of my life, I can honestly say anything can happen. Rain is more than possible in an L.A. autumn, and so is a heatwave...you never know!

My mom lived there for a few years; she says it's warm (80 degrees farenheit), and with little rain. Apparently the forests usually catch on fire at this time. o.O :P Hope it helps!

It could be cool, and rain is possible, but our rainy season (if you can call it that) happens generally in Dec - Mar. An interesting weather phenomenom that pops up in fall is the Santa Ana Winds. It's an east wind that carries desert air into the basin, making it very dry and warm. That's when our brush and forest fires can get out of hand.

Wouldn't have a clue about weather in LA, I'm afraid, but I had to say:

Yay!

Then you'll be even happier to know it's J/I and it's going to be looooong. I'm on chapter eleven and already at 28,700 words.

:)

Btw, have you given any more thought to your Christmas prompt?

*sighs with happiness*
That's all I want for Christmas.

But since you offered... ;)

How about: a broken tradition, silence and holly?
