i know this sounds a little bit out there, but it all just wreaks to me of some failed social engineering agenda. i almost see this as like a failing right wing/ conservative agenda that is forced to rely on scare tactics and mis-information because it can't combat the potent imagery of a sex-sells all-permeating capitalist marketing machine.
it looks like we have a problem (teen pregnancy, stds, etc), we have a solution (education in schools), and then we have the problem where we run into moral values meets money. it looks like people would prefer to rely on lying to children than angering conservative tax payers or get caught slipping a bill to someone who might think abortion isn't a murder.
that, and its all just another attempt at trying to make people believe that they are in control of their own lives. the cruel reality is that condoms break, people lie, and statistics happen.

reading this makes me mad

i hate the current administration's stance on this. kids are going to have sex. its been happening forever. i dont understand why we dont educate them with safe ways to do it

and seriously, since when has telling a teenager that something is wrong ever made them want to do it less.

exactly...i watched dateline tonite on Teen Sex. the statistics are so scary, not that i didn't know them anyways...but they were interviewing teens about how casual oral sex is and "hooking up".
