Ah, right. Didn't hear anything today specifically but haven't been keeping up with the news (and I live in New York where I almost never have anything good to say about our governor anyway.) Also see you may be referring to this or may not...

Yeah, at work when I read that she would sign the bill for civil unions if the measure didnt allow gay marriages I seriously almost screamed "THAT BITCH!"

I just dont understand how people can be against equal rights. But I guess maybe the best way to look at it is, (and I dont know your religious beliefs) let them have their religious sacrament of "marriage". What really matters anyways is the legal aspect of a civil union.

When the time comes I honestly want to be like no, no marriage for me I will take a civil union please. lol dont be surprise if you see me write that in an entry one day.

OK enough blabbing...hope I somehow helped!

Take care Mel :)

lol if i see it i will laugh hystarically. and it will totally make my day. or week, for that matter. it's just like...so fustrating...but oh well.

we shall see.

all i really want is equal rights (you know, file for taxes together, house, etc etc...and to be able to have a recognized union. i dont' think i'll care one way or another if it's a marraige or a civil union, i just truly want to be recognized like heterosexual marraiges are recognized......*sigh*

i'm sorry, but the "religious sanctity of marriage" crap they're pulling is bullshit. do christians have problems with pagans getting married? or muslims? or hindus? these people get married but not under the eyes of the god of the people with the problems, so why don't they make a big deal about that? i mean, just to be fair they should try to outlaw marriage for people who are not god-fearing christians. really now. don't these people have any sense?

but seriously, mel. you and kelly should pack up and move out of ct to a state that wants you. massachussets loves the lesbians and we'll take you here any day.
