Here Mike. Cheeseburger Chowder recipe

CHEESEBURGER CHOWDER

1 LB GROUND BEEF (I use 1-1/2-2LBS)

¾ CUP CHOPPED ONION (I use onion powder)

4 TBS BUTTER, DIVIDED

2 GLOVES GARLIC, MINCED (I use garlic powder)

1 CUP DICED CARROTS

1 tsp DRIED BASIL

1 tsp DRIED PARSLEY

3 CUPS CHICKEN BROTH

4 CUPS DICED PEELED POTATOES

¼ CUP FLOUR

1-1/2 CUPS EVAPORATED MILK

Not really. I worry that it would become too oily or that it would break-up and curdle if it was too hot since the soup will have been cooking for awhile. But if you do, let me know!

I saw a similar recipe on the food network, I think it was one of Guy Fieri's shows...anyway- the restaurant he was visiting served this and she put tons of shredded lettuce in the soup, during the cooking process-not as a garnish. I was glad to see this recipe doesn't have lettuce. lol

EWWWWW!!! That sounds disgusting. It would be all mushy and just EW! No, I would have left that out even if it did call for it. I am not above tweaking recipes to my liking.

I've also used this one as a base for making cheese sauce for casseroles and tweaking it into other soups. It's nice and flexible.
