Bob and Doug Mackenzie were a series of skits on the SCTV show from the late 70's to early 80's. (SCTV had a lot of really good comics: John Candy, Harold Ramis (Ghostbusters), Rick Moranis, Dave Thomas, and Eugene Levy among others.)
As SCTV was a Canadian show, Bob (Dave Thomas) and Doug (Rick Moranis) were stereotypical backwoods beer swilling Canadians. They were popular enough for them to release at least one comedy album. Oh yeah, there was a movie as well: Strange Brew.
YES!! I know them!! Why didn't you say so? For being born in the 80's, I'm more familiar with the old SNL than the new! And I promise, those two made appearances. AND They did the voices for the moose in the Disney movie Brother Bear. See? I'm edumatcated!! In the important stuff anyway...
I LOVE ThinkGeek. So many awesome things. My dad is getting the digital measuring tape for Christmas. Last year, I gave The Big Guy the WiFi tee and G wore the Expendable tee to school last week!

Bob and Doug Mackenzie would have loved that, particularly if they came out with a back bacon variety.
