Whoot! Loved Duo as the *actual* shinigami; I can see the hints in the story leading up to this event... Wondering now whether or not the rest of the G-boys are going to end up as divinities? Wufei as the actual *justified* god of war, for instance - though I'm rather fond of the fan-theory that Wuffers will be able to convert his 'patron' to add that to his portfolio...

I consider Wufei and He Who Must Not Be Named to be - sort of friends. It's the most awkward broship ever, and if HWMNBN actually wants Wufei to be his champion - he'd have to change. Maybe jump ship to the Light Side - which would probably never happen.

Hm. Wufei as an actual God of Justice? Hero as - Death's companion? Right hand? Quatre as lord of Compassion? Trowa as Beastmaster? Or maybe all of them just sort of work for their favorite deity(ies)... You have given me so much to think about!

PS. Also sort of wondering if anyone is actually going to ask Wufei who Meilan was - or if she's going to come up in conversation, something like that. (Wufei's likely to go up in flames if some sorceror uses her face against him.) You dangled her so temptingly in front of us earlier in the story; I can't help wondering if she's going to be important to future events - plus, everyone's reactions to the fact that he was actually married!

I will tell you that everyone will find their right place in the world. (I'm just not gonna tell you WHAT those right places ARE. >:3)

The people who know about Meiran haven't had a chance for a really good talk with Wufei in the last several chapters, being on ship and all, but they are all heading towards somewhere where explanations will be wanted. ;) Naiya and Karthan definitely remember that picture.

Oooh, Shinigami!Duo is definitely awesome... but then, we're talking Duo, so of course he is. Love how Aletha stepped up at the end and took the reins when she had to. Judging by how Bertred got so effectively shut down once she developed her spine, she's going to be a regent to be reckoned with.
