I agree with both of you. I do want them to be together - that's why I write fan fiction ;-). But sometimes I feel so utterly sad when I think about the movie and I can't help myself: I need to write that down to ease my pain that is still here even after all these months...

Gaaagh! Sob! How frustrating. I'm so glad the guys didn't know this wzas their last night together. I too wanted them together forever, but alas it was not to be. Jack died alone, not knowing how much Ennis loved him, and Ennis was condemned to spending the rest of his life also alone, regretting he had never gotten the courge to at least speak the three words that would have lightened Jack's heart. This is a wonderful one-shot and answers the question of what went on in that fancy blue tent their last night. Thank you so much. I enjoy your writing very much. carole
