So glad to see this updated. It is hard to read. Such pain and despair in both of their lives. Hopefully they can help each other. Thanks - B

I admit - it was also hard to write because it was very painful to imagine my most loved men in such a despair and loneliness...

Ennis needs to loosen up a little around Jack. He needs companionship and Jack wants to oblige, but he is too shy to make the first move. And Jack is a bit scared of everything since his attack. I hope something happens soon to change these two men's lives for the better. They could both benefit from a special friendship.

Wonderful chapter. I enjoyed reading it. : )

What an oppressive and dark world these two live in , I love it . You have a great gift for making us feel each of their pain and sadness at being alone . Just fantastic writing Mel ! Looking forward , as usual to your next installment .

Thanks so much ,
Lisa

Hi, Lisa,

as always I'm so glad you liked it ! It's the best compliment a writer can get to know that the readers feel the emotions the writer wanted to evoke ;-). I'm really happy it worked in this chapter and I hope it will work in all the following, too...

Thank you for reading !
