Great portrayal of the multiple emotions that make up Pepper's day concerning her boss - yet you never explicitly state these emotions, instead showing them in subtle ways. I like the list format, and the wistful ending.

This is the tragedy of Pepper's life. I fell in love with this fic beginning with this line. And it just got better after that. ♥ Aahahahahah Dr. Doom XDDD

Buaahha. Poor Pepper. I love the layers of emotion you've created- not just her frustration with her job, but also her personal feelings towards Tony. A very subtle and lovely look at a Tony-less Pepper (which we need to see more of, methinks, yes).

Also, for your viewing pleasure: Iron Man's Roller Skates (oh, Tony, I bet he thought they were so cool when he came up with them).

"Your assistance will not so quickly escape my memory, but so, too, shall Dr Doom remember your defiance. Good day, Miss Potts!"

AAAHAHAHAHAHA OH MY JESUS. I SO WANT TO KISS YOU ON THE MOUTH RIGHT NOW.

Um, also, this was great and sweet and I love your Pepper more all the time.

This fic, and this line in particular, completely captured what I love about Pepper.

Yes, he checked the file cabinet, and for the record, please don't try for sarcasm, Potts, you're embarrassing yourself.

For all their banter, Pepper isn't sassy. Tony's off the wall, but she somehow bounces his sarcasm back to him just by being her calm, demure self. Like when they're dancing, and she asks what his social security number is, and he says 5, she doesn't have some SMASHING QUIP, she just says "Hmm, you're missing a couple of digits..." and yet it is PERFECT, because she doesn't need to be a smartass to impress him because she is PEPPER.

And your Dr. Doom was A DELIGHT, even though I've never read the comics. I really hope we have Pepper/villain scenes in the sequel.
