I came across this article about - The Sectret of Raising Smarter Kids through Jeremy's linkblog.

Now I am no child psychology expert & have 0 experience of bringing up kids, yet I feel this article makes a lot of sense - not just for kids but for everyone.
And even though a lot of us might agree to & believe in this theory - a focus on effort-not on

Why didn't you contact Aamir Khan? May be you could have also suggested some ideas in the making of "Taare Zameen Par". The movie also seems to concentrate on this fact. Not every kid can be a born intelligent and also not only in studies. The parents have to stop stereotyping and making comparisons with other children. They have to start looking the talent and skills of their own children rather than making them do what other kids are doing.
Quoting Taare Zameen Par's punchline "Every child is special".

Thanks for sharing. Really agree with the author.A focus on effort-not on intelligence or ability-is key to success in school and in life. Of course that effort should also include working on improving your ability or what Ken Chenault, Amex CEO calls -'execution quotient'.
