Clap Your Hands Say Yeah is one of my favorite bands. We've played several shows with them, and became good friends with a few of the members who are brothers and happen to share my last name. They are on tour now and will be staying with us when they hit SF.

CYHSY was one of those bands I totally expected to hate because of the things people were saying, but I ended up really liking their album. Just goes to show you: don't listen to people.

I saw that video too. When I see such displays at shows, I generally titter a bit at first, but then I think "that's so great that this person is so moved by this music!" I can always tell when I'm really enjoying a live show, because my feet actually leave the floor from dancing. It happened at Arcade Fire, and more recently at Bloc Party. I wish more New Yorkers would let loose like that. How great would it be if everyone at a show was dancing, even for just one song?

I know! This video reminds me of those Sesame Street segments that featured people dancing - people on the street, in the subway, in their homes. Remember those? They delivered to young minds the idea that dancing is good for you.
