Like...eventually over-coming them?

Like doing something even though you're scared. Over coming them probably counts too.

The definition of brave requires a look at the word courage, which is technically defined as "the state or quality of mind or spirit that enables one to face danger, fear, or vicissitudes with self-possession, confidence, and resolution."

Otherwise known as bravery. The definitions aren't exact everywhere you look, maybe, but the general gist is the same.

Naturally, of course, the things that make a person brave vary person to person, but it's been my experience that facing something that scares you - anything, no matter how minor - and continueing to face it whether or not you are certain in your ability to overcome it is bravery. Not necessarily a headlong confrontation as some might believe, but at least a refusal to allow it to overcome you in turn.

H-Hey, Don.

[He's missed your techno-babble so much.]

I--I like your answer, uhm.

How--how's it guh-g-going? I heard, uhm, y-you're weening off the, uhm, drugs?

It's generally the standard answer, but thank you. I've just always found that people have different ways of showing their bravery, and occasionally it's, I suppose you could say, quieter than others.

[he sees what you're doing here with this post, Herz. He sees it.]

I'm avoiding taking them as often as possible, actually. I'm not in any particular need of them.

[and he's hoarding, and he refuses to diminish his supply]

[Herz is going to pretend you DON'T see what he did there. Because otherwise he may just...stop replying.

and that would be cowardly]

For, uh, fff-f-f-for a sec, there, I thought you meant you, uh, were avoiding taking peoples quiet bravery.

Which, uhm, is--i-is funny, when you think about it.
