Writer's Block: Awesome Openers

 You know, I really hate it when books open up with really weak lines.  I think that that first line can define the rest of the book.  I'm not sure if I have any favorites, though.  Maybe "Novalee Nation was seventeen, seven months pregnant and thirty seven pounds over weight."  First that tells you three things about the character you're going to

i've never read the book, but it actually peeves me that they changed it for the movie, haha.

it was a pretty good movie, though.
