Here's the Philadelphia trip recap! Saturday, Feb 2, Canes @ Flyers.

So celerywench & I met up Saturday morning at Union Station in DC at 8:30, swept through Au Bon Pain for our absolutely necessary coffee, and managed to just get on our Megabus to Philly. We snagged free roundtrip tickets from DC to Philly (applicable to dates of our ( Read more... )

It was super fun! And I still always love the Brioux. :D Danny got first star of the game and did a quick interview in which he was asked what it was like to play with Giroux, and he said, "Well, anybody in the league would love to play with Claude Giroux." :D

(Although I was really put out that Bryz didn't get first star, considering the stopped 39/42 shots on goal. Bryyyyyz.)

My favorite thing is how they can't stop talking about each other. The game I'm watching now had a pre-taped bit where they asked Danny about what he thought the first time he played with Tye McGinn, and Danny's entire answer was framed in, "I told Claude..." bits.

(Bryz has been AMAZING this season!)

And he continued to be brilliant last night! :D Yay Bryz!

Ugh, they're so great. <3 I still kind of wish Danny had gotten the C or something, but G has been - well, kind of trying to do everything. Hopefully the Philly D will step up more the way they did last night against Tampa.

I've never had ketchup chips before and they're so good! I must look into acquiring more in my life.

haha I'm sorry you never enjoyed hockey games. They are really fun for me, but at the prices of the tickets, not going to be more than an occasional treat. Adult responsibilities, what are these things?! Finances. u___u

oh that's true, you have all the babies who dream of one day getting drafted into the NHL!! god, some of them are so young. ;__; Everything lately makes me feel old.

In Asia there were all sorts of bizarre chips flavors like steak flavored (which was DELICIOUS) and kimchi flavored (I like actual kimchi better). I'm sort of annoyed the US doesn't carry most of these.

They really were! I was pleasantly surprised - maybe because of Philly's asshole reputation?

oh god aksdjfsl see, I can only watch Top Chef while eating dinner so I'm full and not desperately craving everything I make, but these days dinner coincides with hockey-time... I really should catch up though.

Pictures and traveling and watching a live game, hooray! :DD I'm intrigued by the food and the bookstore. Ketchup chips? :o Hee, your set-up of the name-train letters.

You should try ketchup chips sometime, they are pretty delicious! And the bookstore was really cool. Definitely something you'd enjoy. :3 It's fun to explore cities, sometimes not even their historical landmarks but just their everyday shops.
