While I vaguely understand why people may not have loved Brave, I think the only thing that resonates with me is being tired of the princess story as a vehicle for morals or whatnot. That tiny reservation aside (and it's tiny, because what does Disney do if not princess stories? It's nice to see them stick with their most well-recognized and best ( Read more... )

Sorry, Murray lost. :( All Murray lives are apparently only destined for sadness.

It seems fun! And even if it ends up as silly/ridiculous as the Step Up movies - hey, at least there will be great singing.

I absolutely loved Brave. Here is an interesting note. We went to see it because my kids wanted to see it... i only have boys and they were determined to see this as soon as they knew it was being produced.

That's awesome that they wanted to see it. It's probably the adults, honestly, who are having all the conversations about female vs. male protagonists while kids are just like ADVENTURES. SHENANIGANS. I WANT TO SEE. :D

I haven’t watched Brave but when I heard it had a mother-daughter relationship at its core I was fascinated. Because you never see that, and since then I’ve been meaning to watch it ( ... )

You shooooooould. It's funny and touching and so, so pretty. :D

BOOOOOOOO FEDS. I agree with your mother, haha. I'm also put out by the fact that Roger back at #1 means Nole's #2 and RAFA IS #3. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. But yeah, Andy Murray's life is hard. He's unquestionably an amazing player; he's just had the misfortune of playing in an era dominated by...three players even better than him. /o\ Him winning Wimbledon would have been EPIC. Maybe in another year or so...

Pressure and expectation of a nation. Plus political baggage, gah. Hope he holds up.
