Oh I thought Nation might be by him but I wasn't sure. Idk, I don't love his YA stuff since there tends to be a more heavy-handed moral or message. His Discworld stuff though. *____*

But I should give it a shot! :D

Desserts, yes! *__________* One of my favourite desserts is coconut ice cream with banana fritters. Oooh.

I forgot another one for classics. EVERYTHING BY PEARL S. BUCK :DDD namely, The Good Earth, Pavilion of Women, Sons, Peony, etc. Also Lin Yutang's amazing 'Moment in Peking'.

YAY, TiKAM!!!! I loved doing that as a text :3 Um, 5 years ago but who's counting anyways...

I actually quite enjoyed Great Expectations. it's funny in a you-have-to-put-on-your-Dickens-cap first way.

moar classics: THE LORD OF THE RINGS, ufufufufufufu

also stoppard is always good. ALWAYS. GOOD. (he's the dude who wrote the history boys.)

children's fiction: have you read the phantom tollbooth? it is one of my absolute favourites EVAR.

other children's books I have read and love...enid blyton's entire oeuvre XDDD

Oh yes I have read The Phantom Tollbooth and yes I love it too! :D It was also very educational, heh.

And Stoppard! He wrote Arcadia, which I really enjoyed. Oooh and I have not actually read The History Boys, only watched it, so I should get on that.

Yes, yes, I know your eternal love for LotR. :D

numbers! averages!! it made me really wish I was better at math. ): well then, um, when hitler stole pink rabbit? oh, oh! there's a series of books called the exiles, by hilary mckay. all about the shenanigans of four sisters living somewhere in england. :3

I really wish I could have watched the original run of the history boys with the original cast. ): kinda like how I wish I could have watched ben whishaw's hamlet. SIGHFACE.

LOTR IS THE BEST EVER.

And sadly all things occurred before Youtube. Alas and alack!

I want to reread Phantom Tollbooth now. Among everything it taught me, the one thing that sticks with me most is the word "doldrums". This may be illustrative of my life...
