Time Keeps on Slipping

I got an email last week letting me know that my auto-payment for my paid user account was about to go through and would I like to cancel payment? I was kind of ambivalent about it, but ambivalent + auto-pay + passage of time = paying for another year. Meh. So I figured I might as well post something. I'm doing much better myself on the "not waiting till the last minute" thing this year, but I think it kind of took weekend classes meeting only once or twice a month to do that, and I don't really recommend going into that pressure cooker just to cure procrastination tendencies. Of course, it could also be the pressure cooker of grad school driving me to that, so that's something to look forward to in a half a year or so.

Like one of my other friends, you seem to know of some sort of "summer job" that is of better quality than simply serving up burgers and fries. Where does one actually get that kind of information from?

There's plenty of legal work for people who don't insist on being paid. It's finding the ones that pay that are tricky.

It's pretty much expected by law schools that their students find some sort of summer internship, and they put a decent amount of work into putting opportunities in the way of their students. Not that this means everyone gets one, and certainly not everyone gets a paying one.

Happy Birthday! I am about to be 30, which feels a bit odd, but mostly I feel like I am coming into my own and that being thirty is going to be absolutely awesome, as I seem to be finding all the various pieces of how I want my life to be, and they are happening right now.
