Heh - we seem to collect everything BUT monitors - our spare room currently has five towers (with much of their innards still in situ) and four crates full of assorted bits and pieces that Himself can't bear to part with, despite some of them being spare parts for computers he hasn't owned in more than a decade!

It's pretty bad, definitely. Not sure if it would be any better at lower resolutions, but I wouldn't count on it. Fortunately (?), I had never gotten around to buying the extender cable I'd need to re-hook my desktop's third monitor up in the new digs, so that became the sacrificial item.

Just about did my knee in carrying it downstairs, though. Note to self: if ever doing something about exercise, pick up a strength point or two. I'd swear the damn thing had become heavier than when I originally bought it.

Assorted places will dispose of monitors for a fee. It's *possible* that someone might pay for them if they're advertised in the newspaper, but put them on Freecycle on a Friday and they'll be gone like *that*.
