I know! It's a long standing industry tradition based on that core economic principal known as BRANDING. I'm going to end up with 3 pseudonyms by the time I'm done, partly because my mainstream/erotica/YA audiences aren't going to want involuntary cross-over. This whole idea that one shouldn't use a psuedonym or shouldn't want it exposed is complete bullhockey. And that's not even getting into the real world reasons why someone who writes in our genre might need to keep their real name under wraps. *eyeroll*

I'll be using a different pen name if I decide to write that children's story that's turning in the back of my brain. I think an erotic romance writer should be separated from such things publically, lol.
