I know! It's a long standing industry tradition based on that core economic principal known as BRANDING. I'm going to end up with 3 pseudonyms by the time I'm done, partly because my mainstream/erotica/YA audiences aren't going to want involuntary cross-over. This whole idea that one shouldn't use a psuedonym or shouldn't want it exposed is complete bullhockey. And that's not even getting into the real world reasons why someone who writes in our genre might need to keep their real name under wraps. *eyeroll*

I also heard that George Eliot is a chick! And that the Brontes tried to "hide" under male names first. Oh and ssssshhhh, James Tiptree Jr is also a gurl.
