I had a good day with Sandra today. We were off shopping again for Christmas and I know that she bought my gift, I just don't know what it is, although she told me I should know, because I told her what I wanted a while ago now...but I don't know. I think it might be a DVD, but I can't be sure. The fun is in the surprise anyway.

I love Borysenko's work. It's always great to see someone with academic credentials look at spiritual issues... for a lot of folks, there's too much of a tendency to throw out all spiritual matters along with the fundamentalism.

It may take awhile for Sandra to recover from losing her dad. I couldn't write for 4 years after my own dad died--didn't even realize I was depressed until the cloud started to lift.
