The internet and its perceived anonymity has caused problems for me and some of my friends because people use that anonymity to say things about, and to other people which they would never say in person.

I try to remember that beyond the text on a computer screen is a person with feelings, dreams and aspirations, and treat them as such, but not

I totally agree. I've heard some terrible stories in regards to Internet bullying, resulting in tragic circumstances for the victims. Especially young, school aged kids.

The Internet is a wonderful invention - it's a damn shame some people use it to hurt others.
