In a perfect world, women don't have periods. We never have opinions, we're always willing to open our legs for a "good" time and we always need help getting out of tough situations because we're too weak to help ourselves. Duh!!! Where have you been?

I TOTALLY actually had this conversation with someone last month. I was like... What about when Bella's on the rag?

Seriously. There should totally be an adult series that DEALS with vamps around times of bleeding. Periods should totally be mentioned. Why are we so ashamed of something our bodies naturally do? It's like the writers think it's SO unclean that they don't mention it. I think that just perpetuates the cycle of shame - when this is clearly not shameful.

And we should definitely chat about this. It's totally been forever since we chatted!

In one of the Anne Rice Vampire Chronicles there is a paragraph in one of the books at one point saying how there are some vampires who enjoy being around women when they are on their period because it is access to free blood without causing harm. I can't remember where it is though! I'm pretty sure it is in TVC...Or was it in the Sookie Stackhouse series? Hmm...but it has been mentioned, albeit briefly!
