well they are basically a recognition of your achievement that you can place on your profile or post in your journal for all to see :)

So not really for anything as such but a little reward for a job well done, one you can show off! ^_^

I like to match mine but really there is'nt really a rule for how a bannermakers makes them, it's basically whatever they want to do
