For some reason lately I have been inundated with memories. Seemingly at random and for no apparent reason I am recalling in vivid detail things that have happened in my life. It's very interesting. Well the process is, if not the entry. :P

Do you know, I have a friend now, one of my fencers, who's ROTC...been ROTC through high school, I believe. And he's just so sold on it all. And after half a dozen friends who WERE sold on it and woke up and ran screaming, it's so hard to talk to him sometime. I can't make him listen. He thinks I'm some liberal idiot who just likes to rip on the army, but really I have all of you who know the truth, and have shared as much of it as you can...my last two friends in the military were HIGH security MI, and they can't even tell the really awful stories.

Anyway. I think that, clearly, the Army did you some good. I think it did all of you some good. But I'm grateful that you and the rest were able to get out, move on, and be a little happier with your lives. And I'm grateful that I have a bunch of friends who would string me up by my toenails if I ever even THOUGHT of joining the military. I feel so loved. *grin*

I can't say it was all bad but I would have been better to get out sooner.

I definitely wouldn't recommend joining any arme forces right now.
