Preston managed to stay out of the hospital. He hurt as bad as it did the first time, or worse. We got some pain meds from a co-worker (wrong, probably) which kept him out of the hospital. It takes a lot from Preston to do this, I'm in awe of his stamina sometimes

Glad he was able to stay home. (They don't do anything more in the hospital do they? Just give him pain meds and prevent him from eating solid foods?)

Sigh. This just sucks for him. Much, much, sympathy. Might he just want to mostly avoid solid foods till he gets to the gastro doctor? It seems like he only eats solid foods in order to be in pain and then have to fast and not eat solid foods. If he's going to end up fasting anyway-- skipping the part where he's in pain seems good. :-(

Hey so you can tell him that I had the scope down the throat thing and they knocked me out to do it. I woke up an hour later with no memory of anything.
My throat wasn't even sore. (That's not everyone's story, but that's how it went down for me.)
