Parenthood
What are the major costs of parenthood? Would you consider not having children because of your career goals? What other reasons are cited for couples not having children? How have these factors influenced your thoughts about having children? Have your own parents ever discussed these costs with you?

It's funny, my mom used to get so pissed at me was little and she'd say, "One day you'll have kids and then you'll know how it feels!" but I knew even then I would not ( ... )

The major costs of parenthood is time and energy. You learn to buget and make money go farther and what things you really can live without. After having my kids I sometimes think about how my life would have been different without them but there are so many thing hat I would have never experanced if it were not for having my kids. Reasons for not having kids, well there are lots of reasons and far fewer for having kids. Some people will plan to have kids because they want to shair thier lives with someone and influance the future. They want to have a legacy. Others fall into it and find reasons to complain or make the most of it and learn to love being a parent. Parenthood is an adventure and a never ending chalange. My parents never talked about the cost of having kids, they only told me how proud they are of me and that they, my dad, were happy that they had had me, even though I was not planned.
