I really *am* this far behind on checking lJ, but…
Who else loves watching Rachel Maddow? I just love her commentary and she seems to be one of the only commentators I find myself agreeing with more than not. I can't think of anytime recently I haven't, actually.
She's the second hour of the only two hours of TV I make sure I catch - Countdown, then Rachel Maddow. I'm so glad she got her own show - the only problem is that we don't have as much of that wonderful Olbermann/Maddow interaction that we used to. She occasionally gets on my nerves with the cutesiness, but it's like Keith Olbermann's Bill O'Reilly taunting - I don't care for it, but it clearly gives him so much pleasure, I enjoy it vicariously!
Oh, and The West Wing? The first three years are probably the best television ever. And to show you how incestuous it all is… Aaron Sorkin's previous show, where he really honed his dialogue, was Sports Night, based on the days of Keith Olbermann and Dan Patrick on ESPN; now, Sorkin is about to make a new show about a cable news
( ... )
I catch Keith too, I just always make sure it's Rachel I don't miss :D
Fascinating! Aaron Sorkin tends to like basing characters on real people doesn't he? I've heard several characters on The West Wing are based on real people as well.
OH, I'd love to have Lauren Graham back on TV. And that really really sounds like a show I'd check out :)
