The last day of school and information about a party

Today was our last day at the Ark. My kids made me a card, sang me a goodbye song, gave me tons of hugs, and it was a good day. One of my students cried, which I was not expecting, and several of the Grand Valley students cried too. I did not. Hey! Sounds like fun on the 6th, hope dad will take me, hah like he gets a vote....guess you will have a busy week when you get home! weddings and parties and your mom coming, you are much loved! Well honey..this really is my last comment till you get back! Ya'll be careful when you travel to Davison, ummm, I'm not really getting dressy for that wedding so I hope they don't mind pants for women at that church!love ya, mum W.

Yeah, I hope you guys can make it. If Terry doesn't feel like driving, I'm sure you could probably catch a ride with us, I'm not sure yet if Jeff and I will need to meet my family somewhere, or if my mom plans on picking us up in Davison, but I'll have to get there somehow, so I'm sure we could carpool :)

Yes, I will have a busy week when I get back. And the next week after that, I have to go back to my teacher assisting placement for a few days since I missed most of the week before I left for Africa because I was sick. So I'll be busy for a long time, no time to settle back in.

I'm sure dress pants will be fine for the wedding. I'm probably just wearing a skirt... I don't have any summery dresses.

Hi again

Just wanted to let you know I got your email. I'll do my best.

Also I got a few donations at work for books for the kids there. I'm gonna wait for another day or so, because a few others said they have some, but haven't brought them in yet. We're also going to send colored pencils, crayons, etc. I'll probably wait to mail them when you get home, that way you can look them over and let me know what you think.

See you soon now. I guess you probably won't write again after Friday, right?

Thanks for trying to tape that. I hope it worked out.

Yeah, I'd like to see what you collected, so that would be good if you send them out after I get home. Thanks for doing all of that, and be sure to thank those who donated for me as well.

I will probably write one last time on Saturday because we're going into Capetown tomorrow for the last time and then out to dinner tomorrow night, so I'll want to update about that and about our school tour today. I think I'll just save both of those for Saturday because I don't really feel much like writing today.

Hi Meg,
Your Mom's note said Emmanuel, but our church is actually Messiah Lutheran Church, corner of Henry and Thomas. (Thomas is the one-way street that comes into Bay City from the expressway...Just continue on to the 3rd traffic light, just before the bridge, and our church is on the SW corner). We'll have food and beverages and if you'd like to use an overhead or something, let me know and I'll try to arrange whatever "tools" you'll need. I'm looking forward to seeing you..have a safe trip home. Godspeed.

Thanks for the correct info! I'll pass it on to everyone who's interested. Thank you for reserving the room for us! As for tools, if there's anyway you could get ahold of the type of projector that hooks up to a computer, that would be great because that's probably how I will have my pictures with me, either on a disk or on my computer itself. If not, I guess people can just gather around my computer and look at the pictures on the smaller screen. I'll try to have some actual prints made of at least a few in case the technology fails :) Looking forward to seeing you!

Well thank goodness Aunt Gina was reading. I was close :). Wrong city on the Church and Jenny Street must be the one way that leads out of town instead of into it.Ah Weeellll, to know me is to love me, right? right???????:)

Yeah, I guess it would probably be bad if everyone showed up at the wrong church! Well, going to make one last update for the trip, and then we need to head back to the houses. We're having a get-together to burn DVDs of all of our pictures, and finish off all the wine we can't fit in our suitcases, hahah. See you soon!
