I have been reading shoujo nearly non-stop the last couple days in order to wash the bad When Shoujo Goes Bad taste out of my mouth, so it has me somewhat in the mood for this. Not that the bad taste is gone.

From the ones I'm familiar, it seems like you prefer two strong personalities that support each other with their unique strengths, with neither being more dominant than the other. You also have a lot of couples that clash with each other and with people who are willing to do their own thing even if their partner disagrees.

I only recognize a few of these and only really know/have seen canon for two so can't really make out similarities in an educated manner. From my general reading of your blog and ship/OTP ramblings, I'd say that you normally ship only the canon stuff that makes sense to you in terms of characterization and "feels right" towards the characters, especially the female one. Like, you're not likely to ever ship a guy with a girl if the guy is abusive or a downright jerk towards her - he has to be worthy of her, she has to want him etc.

Oh and you (to me) seem to prefer adults (or people who behave more or less adult like), unless the fandom is like shoujo or something that only has people who go to high school.

The age thing there definitely isn't something I'd noticed until I went and counted just now.

I'm mainly seeing characters that form partnerships that are mutually beneficial in terms of personal growth, that start out maybe less than mature, but that changes as they go on, but I'm only familiar with a few of these. . .

I'm not shocked to see that many of those are my favorites as well ;) Particularly, 6, 8, 11, 13, 14, and 15... which are weirdly enough also the only ones I'm familiar with >_>
