I confess, half of why I like her is that she consistently shows Dean what an idiot he is and shoves his own insults becak in his face. Bela does the same, but not as much. (She deserved a lot betterthan what she got.)
It's about halfway through the last ep, if you just want to watch that part.
I think the overall best thing about season 3 was Ruby. She was really great and a welcome addition considering the show doesn't have that many female recurring characters. I'm still sad about Jo and Ellen disappearing from the show.
I'm surprised by how much I like Ruby. Admittedly, some of that has to do with Katie Cassidy's acting not being great initially, but she was really good once she got ahold of the character.
I finished season 2 in twop recaps and thought about picking back up with season 3, marathoning straight through. I saw LJ chatter and the one-paragraph recaps on the twop index pages about heaven/hell/angels or something, and I'm a TOTAL SUCKER for that mythology. (Hey, you have any recs in that department?)
But I got about 2 minutes into season 3's opening ep and realized I quit because I didn't enjoy the show anymore. (When the last episode of a show you watch is one you actually like, yet can't find the motivation to continue with the next ep, I think it's a sign to let it go. This happened to me in both Supernatural and Battlestar Galactica.)
To me, there's too much to watch and read that spending the hours not really enjoying myself doesn't seem a wise investment.
I find it easier to tolerate watching things I don't like anymore than I do reading things I don't like. Mind you, I only even watched this because I have that ARC to read.
Regarding angels/devils/heaven/hell: i have a few manga.

Was that a typo with the any? I'm going to read it as such. :)
I get weird with books. If it's a book I know I should read and I'm having problems, I go either way with finishing it up. The Once and Future King annoyed the crap out of me, but I got pretty far before the library demanded it back since someone had it on hold. It's one of the classic King Arthurs, and I'm still a little ashamed I haven't read it. I will finish the book eventually.
With tv, though, I've seen too many shows turn into slushed crap after multiple seasons, and I feel like I've wasted hours of my life. Alias burned me badly, and I'm punishing JJ Abrams by refusing to watch Lost. Not much punishment, I know, but I'm still bitter for him abandoning the awesome of Alias season 2, and even parts of 3, for Mission: Impossible 3 and LostIt's funny, I see a lot of people on lj being completist and finishing shows even though they don't really like them anymore
( ... )
Oh, yes, manga recs please! I could use a new series, Monster disappointed me. I'm thinking of eBay'ing the entire series since I bought them all and didn't care for it enough to keep it. I only bought them because FMA was so awesome and I ended up purchasing after the first 8 or so; I thought I'd want to own Monster as well since I'd heard it was so good.
Preacher kind of satisfies my kink for heaven/hell/angel stuff but I'd like others for when I finish it up.
