It took me a long time to warm up to Slayers, but now the show is on my To Buy list. :)

I felt very similarly as you concerning Last Exile, but less because of the ending and more because the otherwise cool girl characters lose a bunch of cool points near the middle-end of the series.

I think it's really only those couple of episodes around the middle that are really problematic on that front. They just leave a bad taste in your mouth.

Hmm, yeah, good point. *nodnod* They mostly recover by the end. I think on rewatches I might skip a few episodes. :D

Ahh Slayers, oh how I love you! It just totally absorbed me, and I heartily agree. All the characters are sooooo annoying and yet...
