I think it does get better in the second season, but you have to endure a few episodes with the same plot: everyone must get dressed up and attend some function! After that, you get more eps with character development.

Unfortunately, I think there's even MORE of the gross/annoying Buy More crew. I tape the show so I can fastforward those parts.

I can tolerate Morgan and the boss, and the girl is OK. It's the other two that make me want to break things.

And I forgot to mention the stereotypical Evil Asian Overlord Assistant Manager in the first half of the season. possibly for the best.

I kind of like the "Everyone must get dressed up! Sarah and Chuck are a couple! Casey is wait staff equivalent!" but you can really only do that so much...

Especially when Chuck uses the same alias every time.

They get a new management dude in the second season and I really hate him. And there's more of the breakage-inspiring guys.

There is one really awesome Casey as wait staff moment where he has to look artsy fartsy. :)

Jayne Adam Baldwin is awesome in this show.

And a high school classmate of mine was in an episode on the first season. She was the Chinese/Asian spy girl person.

For the heterosexual male, I like the gratuitous shots of Sarah in lingerie, but you know, that's me.

The show gets better in the second season, and the characters really flesh out more, in my opinion.

My main thoughts regarding the lingerie is that fan service should be equal opportunity. And Morgan doesn't count. Though Captain Awesome and Casey do.

I liked that character. But then, I like all the spy characters.

Adam Baldwin as Casey is THE BEST THING about Chuck. Sometimes I pretend it's called "Casey". And that episode with Casey's obsession with his vintage car was so Jayne&Vera! I was laughing hysterically the whole time.
