I have a confession to make.  Most of the f-list who I browbeat into reading who have started reading FB in the last year or so seem to start out liking Yuki, and then eventually prefer Kyo after a while.  Me?  When I started reading, I straightup disliked Yuki.  Something about him simply rubbed me the wrong way.  After a few volumes, I came to ( Read more... )

Shigure majorly needs his head examined. But that's why he's so interesting. Think of it - he's working to end the curse, which will mean a major shake-up for the person he's stuck on. What do you think Akito would do if she knew what he was up to? I really love Shigure ... in this double-agent aspect, along with his braininess and perviness, he makes me think of Yukimura in SDK.

I think Yuki/Machi is boring. I wish he and Kakeru would be interested in each other instead - but Yuki needs a male friend as much as he needs a lover (Hatsuharu is too close in many ways to be that friend), so, OK. But I still think the Machi thing is dull.

I love Haru/Rin ... in some ways, they come close to my OTP for this series. And Hiro is adorable now that he's stopped being such a brat. BTW, his mom isn't stupid, she's just a little scatterbrained.

And yes, Akito has serious, serious issues ... .

Yuki/Machi is on the boring side, but it could be worse, and at least it actually gives him something to do beyond being a third wheel in Kyo/Tohru...and it's better than Yuki/Tohru would have been, which I suspect was the original intent ( ... )
