cdrama: Young Warriors of the Yang Clan eps 1-12

I am very slowly watching this drama, which is about a family of seven brothers(and one beyond darling little sister) who were renown warriors in the Song dynasty.  Slowly, because:

A) I know how it ends.

The father and 5 of the brothers all die in the same battle.  Except one brother doesn't die, he gets amnesia and never remembers who he is.  ( Read more... )

Normally in series about the Yang family Ba Mei is older... she is absolutely adorable as she is in this one but I agree that if she was older I'd be waving Yelu Xie/Ba Mei flags.

I didn't think Eddie Peng could get any cuter, but I watched a few episodes this morning and I was so wrong. :D

This is my first version of the Yang story...I swear they made her young to keep us from shipping Ba Mei/Yelu Xie, and so that she can completely derail Bro 4's emo-fest when he returns(the cocky SOB persona doesn't fit Peter Ho at all, but when his inner Yang puppy comes out...)

Every time you think Eddie Peng has gotten as cute as it's humanly possible to be, he proves you wrong.

I've sort of been dreading Si Lang's return... watching the Yang family I get this happy feeling, especially with Wu Lang and Qi Lang being so cute. Although I have to admit that Peter Ho is pretty hot in some angles, I didn't think he looked that good until he actually appeared in the series.

Eddie Peng is cute in pretty much every scene he appears in. I love how he started to eat the cakes that Princess Chai had brought for Liu Lang.

Wu Lang and Qi Lang both have hamsters running as fast as they can on their wheels in their heads. I love scenes when either or them is around and Important Things are being discussed...Qi Lang is clearly zoned out and Wu Lang is staring at whoever is talking and can't keep up.

I don't think the coloring for the series is very flattering for Peter in some ways, but that's ok. I want to punch him a lot, and then his inner Yang Puppy will come out(usually in scenes with the doctor) and i'll like him again. Fortunately, where I am now(ep 19) he seems to mostly be over the emo ranting and brooding. The thing of it is is that you get why he's so mad at his parents and he often has a point in the war talk stuff, it's the way he treats his brothers and the emo self-righteousness that makes him annoying at times.
